Terry Geddis (Zachary's Dad) is setting himself the challenge of cycling for 24 hours, from the top to the bottom of Ireland between 19th and 20th June 2026. He willl be cycling into the early hours of the 20th, during the longest day of daylight.
He will start cycling at 12 noon from his home in Coleraine and cycle continuously for 24 hours, stopping only briefly and when necessary. Having completed 6 previous charity cycles in aid of the Zachary Geddis Trust, a mental health charity set up in memory of his Son, who passed away aged 20 in 2017 and now run by his Daughter Yasmin, Terry knows Ireland like the back of his hand.
This challenge is about honouring Zachary, supporting the charity now led by his daughter Yasmin, and helping other families avoid the pain his own family has experienced.
If this challenge helps even one young person speak up earlier or feel less alone, then it will have been worth every mile.
The Zachary Geddis Trust is a non-profit charitable organisation, dedicated to raising mental health awareness and decreasing the stigma surrounding suicide.
The Zachary Geddis Trust is a registered charity with the Charity Commission of Northern Ireland: NIC108770 and registered with the Fundraising Regulator.
